Making Every Mile Count
When a client needs panels picked up from a remote site on a tight timeline, Abby Corriher’s first answer is almost always yes. The how comes next.
As the Logistics Manager for SPR and our parent company, PowerHouse Recycling (PHR), Abby makes sure material gets from our clients’ sites to our facilities safely and on schedule. She schedules every solar panel and e-waste pickup, manages our drivers and fleet, and keeps our trucks current on Department of Transportation (DOT) maintenance.
Built Around the Client
On solar projects, Abby’s first call isn’t to a truck. It’s to the SPR account manager who knows the client. Together, they confirm what the project needs before she lines up transportation.

That coordination matters on utility-scale jobs. A repower or decommission can involve hundreds of thousands of panels, and no two sites are the same. Some clients need panels removed and palletized. Others may only need them loaded and hauled.
When a project needs dismantling, SPR’s Solar Travel Crew handles the work onsite. Abby then matches the job with the right transportation. Sometimes that’s our own fleet. Other times, it’s a trusted third-party carrier, when that’s the more cost-effective or timely option for the client.
“Our strength is that we’re problem-solvers who say yes,” Abby shares. “We customize solutions for each client. We make the impossible happen.”
Abby Corriher, Logistics Manager
Leading from Experience
Abby oversees a team of more than 20 drivers and a multi-million-dollar inventory of equipment. For many clients, a driver is the SPR or PHR team member they meet in person, so Abby makes sure every driver is trained to represent the company well.
She also works hard to keep committed drivers around. Several have been on the team for more than 10 years now.
Abby is also in it for the long haul and has been with the company for more than five years. Starting at PHR in the warehouse working in hard drives, she learned the ins and outs of the business from the ground up, including the importance of data security and proper material handling. That hands-on experience primed her to move into a Logistics Assistant role, and then to Logistics Manager.
Precision at Every Step
Abby’s meticulous approach has been shaped by PHR’s clients in highly regulated industries. Hospitals need to see every step of the process to protect patient data under HIPAA. Banks follow strict rules on equipment destruction. Schools require background checks for onsite personnel, and pickups have to work around car rider lines and testing days.
That same attention to detail carries over to solar. Our clients rely on accurate documentation to meet compliance requirements and ESG goals, and that record starts with a pickup that’s tracked, on time, and done right.
But getting panels from point A to point B is only part of Abby’s job. She also implements truck maximization plans that reduce the carbon footprint for SPR and our clients. Keeping clean energy sustainable from installation to end-of-life takes planning, and Abby makes sure every mile counts.
